Heinen’s Grocery Store and their design team at Studio Graphique called on Brand Décor to assist with the transformation of the 107 year old Cleveland Trust Company building in downtown Cleveland. The goal was to turn this tiffany-domed architectural gem into a destination market offering groceries, prepared foods, wine and beer, and ample space for socializing.

We were instrumental in identifying media and materials for the project that included green glass acrylic, brushed titanium and natural walnut veneer laminates, and wrought iron-like sign holders – all in keeping with the architectural style of the time. There are two sides to the new market – one a more traditional grocery store setting and the other a stunning three-story, eighty five foot high rotunda offering fresh and prepared foods with ample open-air bistro style tables.

All of the department signage was fabricated from half-inch matte green glass acrylic faced with dimensional letters of brushed titanium – hung with custom fabricated hardware. The wine department varietal signs are custom metal and powder coated to resemble wrought iron – with magnetic graphic inserts for changeability. The modular aisle signs on the traditional grocery side feature brushed metal back panels with category inserts faced with dark walnut veneer – attached magnetically for easy updates.

Brand Décor managed the entire fabrication and installation process. From material selection and testing through production and ultimately on-site installation management, our experience ensured the quality result a project of this nature deserves.
